Why do men freak out so easily?
by mysterygirl12 at 6/2/2008 8:57:23 PM

When it comes to dating...why do men get freaked out and just stop communicating? It's like a horse who is fine in one direction, but turn him around and he SPOOKS and BOLTS!!! It's funny but men are way more senistive than they'd let thier counterparts know and have a serious fear of comitment. Even if the woman never brings that up but he does...he freaks himself out. I'd like to know why? What are the dynamics behind pretty much ALL men's fear of getting close?

I, for one mans opinion, is not scared of commitment. I was happily married for 10 years (widowed now) and have would like to at some time have another LTR. However, I think most men don't bolt, just expectations on timetables are different. Some women, you must admit, seek marriage fairly quickly (6 months to a year) and that pace is scary to most guys, in my experience. that leads most to ask, "Whats the rush????" Just this humble mans .02

Hi Humble man...I appreciate your opinion, but you are the acception, not the rule. This woman has never asked the question "when are we going to get married" as I don't want to get married. I've even given some of my girlfriends who are in commited relationships to stop asking when they're going to get married cuz that just pushes him away. I'm talking for real...just out of nowhere stop calling. No provocation, no argument, no asking taboo questions...just GONE!! But again I appreciate your input. Anyone else out there care to chime in with an idea? I'd love to hear any and all input. Thank you!

Haven't a clue!!! Sorry to hear about your hubby. My fiancee passed away last year before we could tie the knot and it's just not the same as breaking up. Anyways, we had a whirlwind of a long distance romance and it took us all of two months to move in together, so I really can't answer your question either. There are more of us out there than you realize. cheers

maybe its not the fear of getting close but the fear of getting rejected,i think that some people take feelings for granted,
