| My first blog and her is a random thought, ready?! Let's go! by gellybean777 at 6/8/2008 11:50:39 PM

...So what is it that I would have to say that would be worthy of an audience? Let's try something like a just a simple bit of movie information.
Any of you ladies know who Hugh Jackman is? If he makes your heart throb then you'll be happy to know that the pre-production work of the first of three 'Wolverine' movies.
Jackman was given the option based upon his approval of the three scripts. Personally I like the guy and think he is a great actor.
Since we are on the topic of a little boy's comics and toys now put on the big screen since we have grown up... Yes, the G.I. Joe movie is coming. Dunno about this one as I must confess I had a lot of the toys and they were cool and all...
The one saving grace about 'Blow Joe!'-whoops! I meant, "Yo Jo!". SORRY! As I get sidetracked, the one cool think is that Ray Park is going to be 'Snakeeyes'. Ray Park is a master of a Chinese martial art known as 'Wu Shu'. This of course is a very dark/obscure martial art. Ray Park played 'Darth Maul' and 'Toad'. (The Phantom Menace/X-Men).
As a bit of related trivia while on the topic of martial arts... Do you know who is the philospher that all martial arts can be traced to? You got it, Sun Tzu, author of, 'The Art of War'.
Another tidbit that I find incredible about Sun Tzu is that he was the first to suggest that a military should be a volunteer force to serve in the effort to protect their land. This lead to peasents being trained to raise arms which was unheard of at the time. Especially when only nobility had copies of 'The Art of War' and they would be sure to have their rare copy buried with themself. Ironic indeed.
Finally to connect the dots, you might find it even to be of further interest... Sun Tzu was from a province in ancient China, called 'Wu'. Ray Park is a master of 'Wu Shu'. (Do you know what 'Shu' is named for? One of the waring factions; look up Romance of the Three Kingdoms. As this is all Chinese cultural folklore/legend).
So what is the point of this blog? Guess to let you know how I think maybe as I couldn't think of what to write about 20 minutes ago. We went from movies being made and found a way to get to the significance of Sun Tzu.
Anyone want to play 7 Degrees to Kevin Bacon? Or is it layers? I dunno, but I hope you enjoyed my blog and depending on the response will determine if we will do this again okay?
