I was standing in the road all alone with no place to go
When I felt a soft breeze blow and there you were
I was taken by your beauty and your charms and that glow
It’s so warm and so real I would never have known
When you spoke my heart melted and when you smiled
Like a child I was in awe of you, I didn’t know what to do
But then you rescued me. You wrapped me up and set me free
Taught me to love unconditionally.
And you showed the world it’s you and me.
I was afraid at times about what my life might find
Like I would run out of time to decide what was mine
The stuff I had to bear I didn’t know how to share
I thought no one would care but I had things to say
I needed to find the way and then in that one day
You held me tight and listened through the night
And then you rescued me. You wrapped me up and set me free
Taught me to love unconditionally.
And you showed the world it’s you and me.
I am no longer alone as your comforts bring me home
To the place I need to be right next to you my dream
We struggle everyday but then we take time to play
It doesn’t matter anyway I am complete with you at my side
And I am filled with pride you bring out the best in me
No one will come between this loving bond we weave
As each day you rescue me. You wrap me up and you set me free
You love me unconditionally You are the better parts of me
And you show this world that it’s you and me. You and me for eternity
