| I broke my toe.

I agreed to do a "family" thing last night. I don't know why,...it always ends the same way. But because I love my children I allowed their mother to come along. Sometimes I think I'm the stupidest man on the planet,..always getting involved with women who have no desire to treat anyone with the respect they would like to be afforded themselves. Of course we got in a fight and I left and walked home,...or tried to. Another stupid move trying to walk 30 miles up a mountain. I'd gone about 15 miles when I realized my big toe had broken from the stress of walking. About another 5 miles later, 4:00am in the morning is when the cops pulled over. I was in a bad place, pitch black, and no moon and I knew I was being followed by something in the brush, Coyote or Mountain lion. I had to promise the cops I wasn't going to beat the kids mom when I saw her so they would give me a ride the rest of the 12 miles home. I wouldn't do that anyway, I have never hit a woman. I'll leave that for the next guy,...and I know it will happen. I've seen it before. Just because I'm about the easiest most gentle person you could ever meet doesn't mean the next guy will put up with the same bullshit. You know, I used to run 10 miles every other day and felt better after than when I started. Today I can barely walk with my feet so blistered I can't even rest them on the floor and my toe so swollen you can see where it broke. My world is going to change,....it has to. I just can't keep fighting like this.
