| Did you go to Rocklahoma?

I hope some of you mother truckers went. If you didn’t you missed one HELL of a party. 121 bands in 5 days is insane! Houston’s own Azrael’s Bane and Krucible rocked the stage. A lot of the same bands are going to be at Rock the Bayou this Labor day weekend but the party will not be the same. The sherrifs were cool as hell and left everybody alone for the most part. Plus it was out in the middle o nowhere where there was no curfew or sound restrictions just pure metal bliss. Lita Rocked the stage, Jani Lane was seperated from everyone due to his probation, Steelheart was kicked off the stage, Ace Frehley made his guitar smoke like a b*tch, And surprisingly the best show of the weekend arguably was Sebastian Bach. He brought 200 percent. Queensryche was the closing act and I have to say they bummed me out with Operation Mindcrime. It was too deep when you haven’t had any sleep and you have been drinking for 5 days straight. The after parties at the campsites ROCKED! If you do go next year, you better camp. I can’t close without introducing my new favorite band out of Santa Cruz California, Dirty Penny. Dirty Penny won the battle of the bands to get at ROK last year and they have caught on like wildfire. Reminiscent of Motlye Crue in the early days, these guys just kick ASS live.
