| Well, This Seems A Bit Different!

I just found this web site today totally by accident while searching on Google. I wasn't looking for an online dating site at all, I've always thought they were kind of frustrating because while they will allow you to search profiles, when it comes to being able to contact someone they want money to let you do anything more than "wink at" somebody. 
I've always felt that was taking advantage of people to tap into their wallets or purses, so I've never bothered with any of them before. But today, due to my own poor selection of keywords for a Google search (and perhaps just a small smidgeon of fate?)  I've wound up here, and this site claims to be totally free.
That being the case, well, who knows - perhaps there is someone here who thinks and feels as I do. So I'm giving this a try. If it proves to be a waste of time, I won't be disappointed given my admittedly low opinion of online dating sites to begin with.
On the other hand, if this results in us finally finding one another, it will have been well worth the effort.
I apologize for not putting a picture up. I don't seem to have any handy where I'm the only person in the picture. I'll get one up here as soon as I can get one that is suitable.
In the meantime, I've done a quick search, and found (somewhat to my surprise) that are several women whose quests have led them here, who are within reasonable distance of where I live, and whose profiles I found more than a little bit interesting. That much is encouraging. I can only hope that the feelings expressed by some of you ladies - or at least one of you - are as sincere as my own. 
I'm off now to explore this site some more and figure out how various things work on here. I'll write some more later telling more about myself, until then don't be afraid to reach out if you feel you want to.
