| Bariatric Surgery

Hello all my new friends!
Just wanted to give those of you who know, and care, what is going on an update.
The basics? I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). It creates an insulin imbalance in the body, and can lead to obesity (which I fall under the category of).
At 5'6" and &*^*&^ pounds (ahem), I should be substantially smaller for my pretty little ticker to survive. So, after a meeting with my OBGYN today, it was decided that I should have gastric bypass surgery. I'm about to head to Nashville now to determine if I'll qualify and if insurance will cover it.
I'm very frank with people on here about my weight and health, because aside from friendship being first priority, likewise is truth. I'm a real stickler for that, even if it hurts people's feelings. I'd rather you know the truth than be surprised.
So, I am reaching out to the minions of strangers who care to know me for support. This is a good move, and my OBGYN has recommended one of the best.
