| DOES LIFE EXIST IN CYBERSPACE? by oldlonelyguy at 10/1/2007 5:05:57 PM
I have never done a blog entry prior to this, so I shall keep it short and try to satisfy my curiosity.
I have not had my profile on here for a long time, in dog years that is. However, as my profile and picture testify, I am nobodies ''SOUL MATE'' as it were. Which does not bother me as much as the lovely ladies that I have seen that live near me, or in the same town.
We all seem to have the same problem, we are either alone, or at the age where we want to have that special someone to sit out our remaining years with, does that sound familiar?
We write the same words to one another, we speak the same language when it comes to what we are looking for and if we would be totally honest with one another, we seem to be looking for something that does not really exist.
That is a ''SOUL MATE'', at least not in the sense as we know it. But there is another way to put it, why not just say what we want to say, ''I want to be with someone who will comfort me when I am down, who will hold me, who will sit beside me at a restaurant or in a car. Someone who will show affection and as well as accept it in return. That is what we want, not the six foot two, two hundred pound dark haired model we see on tv. Or the blond that looks so cool in a bikini on tv or in a magazine. It does not happen that way. What does happen, you talk to someone, you get to know what is in their heads, in their hearts and you overlook the flaws that you have and they have.
Men and women want affection, companionship, a confidant and a best friend. We want to ''KNOW'' that the person who is holding onto us, wants us for who we are indide first, and then the outside second. If we look for it the other way around, we will be looking for many years to come and never find that special someone.
