| Sunday Dinner Party

I hosted a wonderful little dinner party yesterday evening. My friend Darcie took her bike apart a month ago and didn't quite pay enough attention to how it went back together so she and a friend showed up early. After helping her check the bottom bracket, run cables and housings, and remount the derailleurs, two more friends showed up with the appetizers and surprise! surprise! Lorie semi-unexpectedly showed up to occupy the last spot at the table. The menu included a roasted garlic and red pepper spread with sliced baguettes, tossed salad with fresh made blue cheese dressing, pan seared scallops, and couscous with shallots. Good friends, good food, good beer. Life doesn't get any better.
