| the bogeyman

A childless neighbor tonight told my granddaughter that the bogeyman would get her. She now is scared of a dark room. Of course I was called up to intercede in bogeyman removals. Problem is I still can't sleep with my foot or hand off of the bed! Like a grandmother should, I reminded my granddaughter that there is no such thing and that I guess it was my duty to get a flight down to help out with this dilema. Her response was that I was coming down there to "beat" the bogeyman and get rid of him. I now have one more chore in life, the elimination of the bogeyman. My first thought is to take a spray bottle with vinegar and spray the air to kill off any bogeyman germs. Except I find myself searching the internet for "how to" information on bogeyman removal. Funny thing is that there is actual information on the bogeyman and the differences in conceptions by men and women of the monster. Now, as I review all of the information, it might be that I fly down and meet with the creator of this problem and explain why little girls are just fine without hearing about bogeymen. Duh!!!
