Can you dance?
by thunderstorms62 at 2/28/2009 6:12:15 AM

No, I'm not talking about the Hokey Pokey or the Chicken Dance but am referring instead to the dating ritual steps. (By the way...there are entirely too many chicken references in the forums here)

Does anyone else experience contact from those that seem to be in a hurry to rush the ritual along? Is this an age specific phenomena where some are becoming desperate? Perhaps it is more of a "Drive Thru" mentality where we just don't have the luxury
of time being on our side.

I have found some of the interrogations...I mean questions to be rather fascinating. -TS62

Yes, I feel like I am a Happy Meal. hahaha. I have more hate mail because I wont pass out my number to every Tom D*cK and Harry here. They don't get it. I have my reservations for a reason. I don't care if it's a Brad Pitt look alike. I still want to take my time and build a comfort level. More that one retorts back that I'm a C***. Just because I want to take it slow. Ha! Weeds out the losers anyway.

For godsakes Jim I'm a doctor, not an online dance instructor.genjayne and myself only followed you here trying to find intelligent life form...oh well, beam us Scotty.hehe But yeah,I feel the same way. Some of these cats jump at of the starting gate full speed ahead, tossing their # out in the first email and trying to set up a date and/or hook up at the same time and they don't even know my name.Heck, makes one want to go check out their profile just to see if it reads somewhere that the doctor only gave them 2 weeks to live or something. And yes indeed,to quote ya something from the movie Shawshank Redemption,"The world went and got itself in a big damn hurry.”

while some may find it to be age related others may be directed by the lack of experiencing such feelings

everyone can dance, it's a felling, take fred astaire for example, he was felling good even though he was in the rain. To quote Martha Vandell, Grab a guy, grab a girl, dancin in the street, it doesn't matter, just as long as you are there. some are better then others, but if you feel it and be yourself, you can do it,

Alright, I'm half naked and I don't see any damn 5 dollar bills? There is a recession going on here ladies so wake up! Singing in the Rain...why does my twisted mind flash to Clockwork Orange versus Fred Astaire? As for Cash and the two weeks from the doctor: He's dead Jim! Jayne gets the first dance...The Horizontal Mambo! (Muahhahaha)
