| You never know...

I'd been upset with God, thinking that he was toying with me for his own amusement... dangling the carrot in front of me, only to snatch it away time and time again. But then someone told me that instead of being angry, I should simply dance with God... and he will let the right man cut in.
So I danced.
He cut in quietly... no fan fare... no fireworks... no shining armor or crown. Not suave or debonair, poetic or refined. Perfectly imperfect, wonderfully kind, adorably bashful and just a little goofy.
I learned quite a lot in getting to know him. First and foremost... Prince Charming belongs to Cinderella... and as far as I am now concerned, she can keep him. He's not for me. Secondly... Sometimes, when you get what you want, you find that you don't really want what you've gotten. And finally... everything happens for a reason.
I've gone through everything that's happened so that I would be able to truly appreciate love and happiness. I shall never take it for granted and will cherish this lesson most of all.
I have a true and honest shot at real happiness... and I am grateful.
