| Why I wear a kilt. by kiltedone at 3/22/2009 5:33:49 AM

I received a letter from a lady asking why I wear a kilt. I thought I would post my reply here and start a journal of my kilting experiences.
The question was.
I hike and I know some guys hike in kilts. I know some men play bagpipes in them. So, what is your story?
My answer.
To give you a short answer to your question I will use a question...... why not?
Top 10 reasons Michael wears a kilt.
#10 I have been to Scotland.
#9 My dress is in the wash.
#8 Women complain Zippers are to hard to unzip.
#7 With legs like mine, what else can I do?
#6 I feel a deep connection to the Celtic people.
#5 I get mail from great looking women on DH asking why.
#4 I'm protesting too many women in pants these days.
#3 It gives one a true sense of freedom ( symbolic and literally ).
#2 I'm trying to start a new fad.
#1 I'm packing too much to stuff it in pants!
And now for the rest of the story. I do it just for the fun of it. I am an observer of people ( a hobby of mine) and I like seeing their reactions. I started walking the mall for exercise and seeing all the men young and old with their pants falling off their ass, I thought I would give people something else to look at. It is so funny to see their reactions. Some look away, some laugh, some pretend not to look, others will just smile, A few will say "nice kilt" as I pass and a couple will stop me and ask questions.
