What do all of the following have in commom:
1) Dirt

The answer is all require rest
Dirt requires it, that is why crop rotation was devised. Dirt can grow one type of grain without fertilizer for 6 years. Crop rptation helps prevent nitrate breakdown.
Musical scores have perionds of rest for certain instruments.
Humans...kinda obvious
Bowling pinsneed to be rested after about 1 week of use. If they don't rest the equilibrium of the pin will be out of balance and make it easier to get strikes
Yeast needs a period of rest before it will cause dough to rise
