My Dedication to Hunter S. Thompson
Out in the dry desert air, the screeching bats all around. Car zooming through on all different types of speed. Or wait is it me who can't control thee. Bright blue sky, but it feels like the howling wolf at night. My eyes are dark and unfocused, my partner incoherent and goddamn will not answer. The only response I see is an uncontrollable frown. This drug-trip seems to consume me. The paranoia creeps up my spine, the road trip from Hell, now bats are coming closer tailing me. Oh shit, now the joint comes back around my way, this brand-new spanking glossy car begins to sway, and now my inner lobes are continuing to pound. Should I stop for that harsh drink or maybe just think. My partner in the car takes out some brown stuff then sniffs it up those nostrils, OH SHIT HERE WE GO!!! Now, stuck in Barstow, I begin to thinnk of her mound. A cactus is calling my name to make a stop to take a bite. Maybe, stop to add to the pound hidden deep within the trunk. I can't seem to break this road trip, so Accept my crown, and move on to the next town.
