What does it take...
by norwaygirl at 5/7/2009 2:04:15 AM

What does it take for the "mask" to come off, for you to just be true to yourself?...to take the kind of risk it takes to be transparent and vulnerable...and maybe, just maybe...allow the deepest places in your heart come to the surface...to expose your soul and give your love freely, when it feels right to you... without expecting anything in return...

You say you are ready...You say you want to meet "the one"...so if that is truly your desire, then "check yourself at the door"...no fronts, no fakes, no facades...why would I want to see a "version" of you that really is NOT you...if I am diving in, I am going head first, eyes wide open! I will take what comes and in the end...I can promise both you and I that I gave it my all and that I stood beside TRUTH from start to finish...

I am not afraid..the very best things in our lives are worth the work it took to obtain it.

I know you exist...I have experienced pieces of you in my dreams and I have met portions of you in other people, along my Journey. I will know you by the way you treat others, by how much love your Mother and by how tenderly you hold a baby, or speak to a waitress at a cheap diner. You will have amazing integrity and character that will always make me proud.

You know, by now, that I will always be "your soft place to fall"...I will love you in good times and bad-we are a Team. I will hold you to highest esteem while in public. You are my Warrior...I am your "Beauty to fight for"...You will never ever forget how much I love you...I will shower you with affection, know that I love deeper than most, so be prepared...leave your mask at the door...

....You need not ever put it back on. Just be you! I will be me, and let's let this thing blossom...

Well, that was nice. I am not sure if you are asking some questions or just making statements here. For now, I'll just absorb it. Thanks! - Jim
