My BE attitudes
by safetyglrl at 5/18/2009 9:52:11 AM

We are only allowed 7500 characters per blog....I am verbiose. That is simply an impossible feat when I am on a roll.

I wanted to end my previous blog with this, but because of the limitations of this site, these thoughts must now stand on their own:

We should learn to be authentic, to be aware of our inner selves and to hear our inner-feeling voices.

We should transcend our cultural conditioning and become world citizens.

We should discover our vocation in life, our calling, fate or destiny. This is especially focused on finding the right career and the right mate.

We should learn that life is precious, that there is joy to be experienced in life, and if we are open to seeing the good and joyous in all kinds of situations, it makes life worth living.

We must accept ourselves for who we are and learn our inner nature. From real knowledge of aptitudes and limitations we can know what to build upon, what potentials are really there.

We must see that our basic needs are satisfied. This includes safety, belongingness, and esteem needs. We must not infringe upon the rights of others, through use of control dramas, to satisfy these needs.

We must also realize that when we freely give our energy, no one can steal it from us as we are replenishing our own stores of energy by giving it away of our own accord without expectation for return.

We should refreshen consciousness by appreciating beauty and the other good things in nature and in living.

We should transcend the trifling problems and grapple only with the serious problems in life.

We must teach ourselves to be good choosers. To achieve this end, we must practice making choices rather than merely examine the choices all while never having intention of taking any action.

My definition of success is "to fail, to learn, to adjust and to try again."

And the last thought I wish to leave with you is one that came to me last night:

The flow of our life is our only one constant. Our response to that flow is what determines our perception of it, whether it be a gentle stream, a raging river that oversteps its boundaries or somewhere inbetween. We cannot force it. We cannot fight it. We only can BE in it, all while recognizing our intuition as our gravity.
