So much going on with you lately
So much to be thankful for
the past so easily forgotten
you hold on to just what you need
to never go back
you don't blame anyone
for what you went through
it was you that gave up
so easily on you
you held on to the wrong one
for way to long
for all the excuses you have
you can't find a reason for why
there's no point in regrets or questions
you learned and felt a lot
now you can truly appreciate
every second of life
when your journey began
you were naive and confused
honestly wanting someone strong enough
to lead you
now you know the strength
you possess
what your willing to sacrifice
for love and life
You will never settle for less again
settling is wasted chances
you will strive to earn every blessing
that has come into your life
sharing your path with the one strong enough
to understand and accept your heart
without wanting to hide or break it
stay strong enough to respect
who you have become
regardless of the steps you've taken
they brought you here
with so many lessons learned
you can stand tall and move forward unashamed
ready to help others
take on their demons
hoping they will feel the warmth of
God's love and forgiveness
and completely live this one life
we are given
never waste or regret a single breath
for it will be your last
without warning
don't worry about what others think
about what you do now
consider what they will remember
about you when your gone
