| "City slicker" wants to be "country gal"

I want to try to see what it's like to live out in the country. I want to own a horse someday. I'd like to raise bloodhounds out in the country and maybe allow law enforcement to use them once in awhile, if they treat my dogs nicely. 
The perfect life for me would be living in the country, having chickens for the eggs, a cow for the milk, a bull to keep the cow PG, goats, ducks, dogs and of course, a horse. Did I say I want a horse? Well, I do. Before I die, I want to own a horse. She can be an old gray mare; I don't care. I'd also love to learn how to grow veggies. I tried it once; planted my tomato plants right in the shade from my house. Guess what? They didn't do so well.
As a steel worker's daughter from Northern IN, I grew up in a city of 35,000 people. So, it wasn't like "city slicker" from NYC. My Mom tried to buy us a farm, but it wasn't Dad's dream so he used their $$$ for other necessities.
I sew also and know now at my age that the best things in life truly are free. I am very family oriented, love kids, music, and animals. I am also a musician.
