Yesterday, I watched what has to be the absolute worst (big-budget) football movie ever made- "Any Given Sunday." The DVD was in the $5.00 bin at Wal-Mart (lol), and it was directed by Oliver Stone (and I've usually liked his previous works), so I figured, "How bad could it be?" Well... it wasn't worth the $5.00 I paid for it, so that should tell you something.

I guess Mr. Stone doesn't know much about football. That's the only explanation I can come up with for this garbage! But even ignoring all of the football-related errors, it's still a terrible film! A disjointed story with terrible cinematography, dialog and editing just adds up to ZERO on the scoreboard!

I guess I shouldn't have bought it anyway. "R" rated films are usually much trashier than I should allow myself to watch. However, since I'm a big movie fan and want to eventually write screenplays for a living, I "allow" myself this vice. Yeah, I know... that's a bit of a "cop-out" for a Christian, but I really do feel that I can learn a lot from watching SOME trash-laced films (within reason).

Well... I'm still on my "no-online-dating" kick and it seems to be working out for me- lol. As well as can be expected, anyway. Not that I'm dating anyone from other sources either, but I just don't think this thing works for someone like me ("someone like me" having a pretty broad and subjective definition).

I still enjoy the site, though. You never know when the "perfect match" might show up, I guess. Besides, it's always fun to read profiles. It's interesting how many different and "original" approaches people have for these things. A kind of new and curious trend I've noticed lately is that women (maybe men too?) just post a profile with a picture or two and no description or listing of interests! What's that about??? Well... whatever works for ya, I guess.

There's a new meeting announcement posted up in the "Virginia Chat" area of the forums that I'm thinking about attending. Unfortunately, it's scheduled for the same night as something else I've got going on. I think I might be able to attend the "something else" first, though, and head to the meeting after, but I'll probably be late (if I make it at all). It seems like it would probably be fun, though.

I guess that's about all for now...
