| Moms progress

Some of you had wanted me to keep you informed on my moms battle with cancer and I figured this would be the easiest forum to do that in. Thanks everyone for your care and thoughts and prayers. So mom has lung cancer. There is a mass in her right lung and four lymph nodes in the center chest affected as well. These nodes make it inoperable because of the proximity to vital systems. She had her biopsy procedure today and is doing awesome! Back to work tomorow . . . thats mom. Should know results by thurs afternoon and that will determine type and treatment methods as well. Aremarkable person and someone to emulate without a doubt  Update . . first biopsy was inconclusive for typing of cells so this thurs. 6/18/09 she will have needle biopsy to try and get good cells to type cancer and dictate treatment options. She is doing well and in good spirits but definatly slowing down and gets short of breathe easily
