| Life...I can't seem to find the re-boot key!

 It's such a pretty world today...I think that's from an old country song. Oh course they we're usually drunk when they wrote that shit anyway. Welcome to the 21st century.
As you can probably tell from my screename..I'm a Jimmy Buffett fan, And have a tendency to think things in a slightly off-key way! Just like my singing...slightly off-key. But in both...I like to think I make up in enthusasm what I lack in talent.
If your gonna live, live loud! If your gonna Eat, Eat well! and if your gonna find Love...then shoot for the moon. I mean,let yourself GO...don't let the mistakes of the past keep you from making the mistakes of the future!
I meet people every day who are so wrapped up in their last bad relationship, they profess no desire to take a chance on anyone...and if they do consent to go out with someone, they come equipped with a formidable emotional defence screen in place. I have met women who decided I was a Mistake, as soon as they met me. I either looked like an EX, smelled like an abusive Dad, or even Sounded like her 5th grade teacher(whom she DETESTED!)
Now,while I understand the need for Chemistry...How about getting to know the person inside? I guess I'm biased...I don't claim to be of the"PRETTY PEOPLE" set, just a regular guy. But I'm a pretty nice Guy, I'm told. House broken, and have most of my teeth...physicaly I am a work in progress...But mentally, I kind of like me the way I am!
I do lay claim to the role of THE LAST KING OF THE HOPELESS ROMANTICS, Or as I like to think Hopefull romantics. I am almost 50 years old and I still want the fireworks, the warm feeling when you think of someone. I want to leave flowers on someones doorstep, send cards just because I felt like it, and feel that electric spark when my lips touch hers. Hell, at my age,I miss the warm feeling of having someone next to me on the couch, let alone the bed! Hell, I would give almost anything just to have an intelligent conversation with someone who is genuinely interested in what I have to say! Cause' God know I like to talk...about just about anything!
Oh well..I have ranted enough. I plan to add further mental floss here as I think of it...In the meantime, if you like what you read, drop me a line and check out my profile. Which I plan to redo as soon a possible...but anyway...my name is Roger.
