| And now it's summer ...

Finally! I'm loving the warm weather -- although I could do without last night's big thunderboomer. My dog is not a fan of storms, and she made sure I was awake to share the misery with her.
I can remember being a kid and wishing I could do what I wanted, all the time, with no one to boss me around. Now here I am, all grown up, and it turns out not to be as much fun as I expected. Ah, isn't that life, though?
Despite this pesky job that supports me, the need to at least be able to keep a path cleared in my house and the blankety-blank grass that just won't quit growing, I am really looking forward to the lazy, crazy days of summer. I've hit the Michigan Speedway once already and hope to make it back for the NASCAR run in August. The grill has been hauled out and the gas tank refilled and it looks like the lawn chairs have survived another winter in the storage shed.
So I guess I'm all ready for the Fourth of July, fireworks and spending time with the people I love the most.
