For those of you who enjoy a good adventure novel the name James Rollins is a familiar name for you I am sure. He is one of those writers who builds your interest to the point where you cannot put the book down when you get to the last few chapters. I just finished another one of his wonderful books and in reading the Author's Notes, I came across a fact that I was totally taken aback by. Feeling the need to share this with you and also to get any comment that you might wish to add, here goes. "As to the strangest claim in the novel: that only 10 percent of the cells in our body are human ( and the rest are bacteria and parasites). This is true!!! There is a wonderful book exploring this topic that is as horrific as it is humorous, Human Wildlife by Dr. Robert Buckman."
Interesting huh, I thought so. Anyway, next time you want to go on an adventure without leaving the comfort of your couch, favorite chair, or bed, read a good book.
