| girl crush

Hello, I'm new to this site.  and so far I love it.
I first realized that I was into females my sophomore year in high school- actually I had this HUGE girl crush on my BEST FRIEND that I've known since middle school(but of course she doesn't know) and I still feel that way towards her. That was when I realized I'm more attracted to females than males.
Anyway, this friend of mine, she's great, we talk A LOT, we have so much in common, she'd be the perfect one for me. I'd love for her to be with me, but there two problems: 1. though she loves the gay men and think they're amazing, she strongly dislikes women with women(not because she's religious, just a personal thing) and 2. her mother especially doesn't like gays/lesbians. Basically put, if we were to end up together(slim chance) I fear that her mom would reject her, something I don't want.
I do want to come out to her(only one other friend knows) but I fear that she might become a little distant.
I want to get over this crush by finding someone else. I've never dated before(not even with a guy) so I'm little nervous.
But anyway, I'll just shut up now, blabbing on and on, haha.
