a pretty picture

alert yet seemingly remote
then peaceful.
your kiss so soft
your skin so smooth
soft against my lips
gentle lovely
tender soul
to cast a net
for the fish of life.
The strands of your hair
go to an fro across my eyes
not knowing what you think
I glance shyly past you as
I think of who we are or
Can be I surrender
and Kiss your lips
And wonder about us.
The smell of your hair
Soothes my soul
Trembles in my hand
Among the briars
Of life one finds flowers
I cannot now get
the smell or feel of you
