| Sega Has No Plans For 10th Anniversary Of DreamCast by girlgirly at 8/16/2009 5:52:31 PM

OMG! remember the DreamCast? Sega's fifth and (probably) final system came out nearly a decade ago. Although the DreamCast was ahead of its time, it never really caught on in The States due to Sega's then reputation as a crappy console maker the DreamCast was awesome and had a number of great games available the console only sold well enough to be around for three years. the DreamCast brought to gaming are internet (it had a web browser!) a built-in modem (first console that had that) and free game-making tools for programmers. The DreamCast gained such a loyal fanbase during those three years, that a lot of people still play it. How is Sega celebrating the September 9th birthday of its console? Well I love the DreamCast ok it's not my faviorte system ok but I do have one and I like it but I like the Ps2 a lot more ya anyways The Beatles: Rock Band comes out on September 9th, and I'm going to be playing that instead. of celebrate the DreamCast's tenth anniversary. Also The real shame about the Dreamcast is, that despite only being around for three years, it sold nearly as many consoles as the Gamecube, and not a whole lot less than the Xbox. If building a console wasn't a money loosing proposition, Sega might have been able to stick it out longer, and we could all be mourning the Xbox today.
