| Mary Kay Journey

So this is my first blog entry, felt like writeing about my Mary Kay. When I first started this whole new gig, i was so into it! Going out everyday, getting contacts. I wasn't selling in the begining, but now i don't have that problem. I've been in sales almost all of my young adult life, so I've learned a thing or two about selling. Then, it got tough. People gave me fake numbers, or I would book a facial, and go to their house and facial them, and no one bought anything. They would tell me "I get paid such and such, come on this day", and when I would call them to deliver, they wouldnt answer, or some shit like that. I tried not to take it so personal because i knew what i was getting myself into, but since i was wanted to become a directer so bad it brought me down. I currently work at a bank and I don't want to be there, it's not for me, and the Mary Kay benifits are 100xs better then the ones at the bank. So that was frustrating. Then my National Sales Directer, and Senior Sales Directer had a what's it called? Oh in intervention if you will. Started talking to me about what they went through, and how hard it was for them. Everything i went through and going through now they said and explained. So i figured they must be right. So I went back into the game. Then i set up my website so people can order online, and I got orders, and one person typed in their zip code to find a consultant because they wanted to join, and my name popped up. Out of the thousands of consultant in this area...i was soo happy!! So i go to her house, interview her, and explained her the business plan, she said she would do it but she was moving into a new apartment, so to call her on such and such day. I did, and no answer. I want to scream! But it's ok, her loss, because i know the type of person that i am, and what a great leader i am, so her loss. Oh, and this other time, i wanted to book a facial with this one lady, she tells me that she doesnt drive and her sister didnt like haveing people over. I offer to pick her up and bring her to my house, facial her and take her home. She agreed and we made an appointment. She canceld on me twice, and when i invited her to the meeting she told me she was too busy and that she would call me when she had time. I said ok. Tell me why this *bleep* shows up with someone else! i was sooo pissed, i wanted to jump across the room and choke her. But it's the name of the game, and like i said, her loss. Now a new girl contacted me, and we are interviewing her on thursday(8/27). In my mind she's joining, one thing i know is you have to be optomistic. (not sure if i spelled that right) Sory i cant spell =\ So thats about is right now, i have 4 invites for next weeks meeting, and a new customer registered herself on my site, so things are looking up!
