| Introductions are hard

If there's any one reason I haven't been "out there" in the online dating scene, it has to be this. I pretty much fail at introductions, people can not be "summed up" in a paragraph or two, we're all just too complicated. It always ends up being a sappy whitewash of who we want to be and could never be or a laundry list of activities and hobbies we use to keep ourselves distracted from harsh realities and entertained. People can't always live up to their ideals, there always seems to be some fool who comes along with the sole intent of making your life as sorry and pathetic as theirs.
There's a whole lot more to people than the public persona they present and the things they do to keep active. Things that only present themselves when the road gets rough and hard choices have to be made.
If you've made it this far, I have to assume you're not a party girl or a gold digger. Haha, you've passed the first test! Ok, I can be a bit of a prankster and sometimes I play a part just to guage a reaction. You'll have to get used to this, I'm sorry, it's just a part of who I am. After awhile we'll adjust to one another, we'll get to know each other better than most people ever will, the facades will drop and you'll find that loving and caring person you've been searching for. I just hope it's me and not the guy at the stoplight in the next lane in the flashy car!
