| With help of media school speech turns into indoctrination controversy by mystiquedman at 9/10/2009 1:55:02 PM

Have you ever wondered why these outlandish, ridiculous and insane absurdities regarding President Obama’s plans or policies continue to make there way to Newspapers’ headlines and airwaves across the country?
The latest “silly season” foolishness surrounds a planned back to school speech by the President of the United States. As part of a tradition the President will speak to students across the land to stress how important it is to get an education. The President’s message will focus on academics, goals and achievements while encouraging kids to stay in school.
The furor over President Obama’s planned address to the nation’s students Tuesday September 8, 2009 is a disgusting display of disrespect and hatred.
Somehow in the twisted minds of questionable parents and conservatives there is a fear Obama may try to “indoctrinate children with liberal propaganda”. A politician actually said this.
Just when I thought they could not out do the “death panel” assertions, now they come up with something equally as senseless.
Republicans and conservatives continue to try to scare the American people (they have succeeded with many) into believing a provision in Obama’s Healthcare Reform Bill will “pull the plug on grandma”.
You remember the uproar caused by this unbelievable and unrealistic assumption, right? Well it doesn’t end there.
Every since Obama won the presidential election over sore-losers John McCain and the Republican Party there have been non-stop false attacks to vilify, hurt or discredit this President.
Time and time again these nefarious attempts have not produced the results desired, but that hasn’t stops them from trying. Despite humiliation, failure and a lack of common sense in the plan, there is no deterrent in sight.
Opposing Obama on everything is the object and it doesn’t matter how remote or ridiculous the charge is. According to the media it doesn’t matter. All conservatives/Republicans have to do is make a claim and the media accept it as Newsworthy hook, line and sinker.
It is the media who give credence and legitimacy to these wing-nuts by entertaining their ridiculous accusations.
The media has a responsibility to check the source and facts no matter who says it before deeming it worthy to report. Those who say egregious absurdities should be put on notice and held accountable for their deeds.
It is the media who invite people, manly politicians, to keep up the attacks on Obama with stupidity by giving them airtime that should be reserved for serious discussion or debate. What we have is the media feeding into the lunacy by characterizing Obama’s school speech as the “indoctrination controversy”, when it truth it is silly and beyond the pale.
How silly is this notion?
The topic of the hour-long (give or take) speech is about the virtues of staying in school and getting an education and the subjects are young children starting a new school year.
It is incomprehensible to think Obama, or any man, could hypnotize or brainwash unsuspecting children without any preparation or orientation.
Those who are concerned that their children may be indoctrinated are poor parents with no confidence in their child raising ability. Why else would anyone be afraid that a one hour speech may wipe out memory and program their child?
What would possess people to think this could be done?
This is what should be News, not that the President is giving a back to school speech loons believe will indoctrinate kids. That is plain moronic.
Here is something else that should be a News story; how the losing political Party, responsible for a near collapsed economy, is now using or manipulating the media into helping them demoralize and destroy Obama in a political attempt to sabotage his presidency.
