| The Big Win

Life is such a game that people play. We all go around living up to standards that usually someone else has set for us. These standards are reason that we fail in life because we as individuals didn't make them. I have always tried so hard to live up to everyone elses expectation and have received very little to no praise for it. I have been going through life feeling doomed for the last few years, but not anymore. I live for myself now. I paint and have won many awards and titles. Today I have won a 1st place medal in a 5K running event for my age group.
After sitting back and savoring the win it has come to me that I have really won freedom from my past. I am finally free of guilt. I am good and strong and a WINNER, yes I am. My life is to short to sit back and watch it go by. I'm alive and I'm going to live every moment of every day with someone or without.
