I took the kids swimming today at the Super 8 in Marysville and then for an ice cream and to the park. Winter is coming and to me fall is the best season. The days are cool and the nights are perfect for snuggling. I am hoping to get some work done this week.
I have to go tomorrow and pickup my husband from the airport. He was visiting his girlfriend in Florida. I hope he had fun. Too bad he can't bring me some Sonny's BBQ back on the plane. It's the best BBQ I've ever had.
This is the first weekend I have ever been by myself with the kids. We had fun. I know when Noah (my husband) finally moves to Florida it will be like this all the time. I am okay with that. I think I am more creative when I am with my kids. I love how they look at things differently than I do.
Someone emailed me a joke a few weeks ago:
Daddy Longlegs JOKE
A father watched his young daughter playing in the garden.
He smiled as he reflected on how sweet and pure his little girl was.
Tears formed in his eyes as he thought about her seeing the wonders of nature through such innocent eyes.
suddenly she stopped and stared at the ground.
He went over to see what work of God had captured her attention.
He noticed she was looking at two spiders mating.
"Daddy, what are those two spiders doing?" she asked.
"They're mating", her father replied...
"what do you call the spider on top?" she asked.
"That's a Daddy Longlegs," her father answered.
"So the other one is a Mommy Longlegs?" The little girl asked.
As his heart soared with the joy of such a cute and innocent question, he replied, "No, dear. Both of them are Daddy Longlegs."
The little girl, looking a little puzzled, thought for a moment, then lifted her foot and stomped them flat....
"Well, we're not having any of that gay shit in our garden" she said.
SORRY! I just couldn't resist!
