More Than Just A Friend
The titles I earned are my greatest achievements
From crossing the fire and swimming through icy cold water
Still missing a piece I believe I have another thing to achieve
From taking her on 50 first dates and taking her out on her birthday
My heart just skipped a beat when she said I'm just a friend
Another way to break the ice but at least I gave it a try, I guess this is good bye
Almost hitting a dead end, can I just be more than just a friend?
As I'm snacking on Ritz she remits a message: "Not worthy by her side"
Showing me no condolence I say this doesn't make any sense
She goes out with jerks, all they do is treat her like dirt
I listen to her when she has a lot on her mind
Giving her advice to stay away from the wrong guys
Does she end up in the wrong place at the wrong time?
She's very outspoken but always seem so broken
Putting herself in a predicament when she calls these jerks heaven scent
She intricate this every step of the way when she looks for love in the wrong place, gotta slow down the pace
Can I show her that I can be more than just a friend?
Take her on a carpet ride to demonstrate the meaning of a whole new world
Stand under the moonlight to show her I'm the right type of guy
Going through thick and thin, she's acting too cynic about my qualities
Falling in love with a jerk, he just want to get in her pants, she gives him a chance then hold his hand
Now her fire is lit when all he did was hit it and quit
To him it was a one night stand
But she was being too bland
I solace her with affection
Which I don't understand she rather pick a jerk
I told her how I felt but I can't be more than just a friend?
I'm tired of being twisted and lost in my emotions
Couldn't turn this friendship into a relationship
I'm a sensitive type but she just basically said take a hike
I'm tired of being nice nor not being recognized
I gave it my try now its time to move on with my life
She keeps treating me like a friend, I know I deserve better than this
All these titles I received yet another one to achieve
Will I ever be more than just a friend?
