Rather than a blog entry today, I thought I’d share one of the free verse poems I have written so as to give you a glimpse in to that side of me:
Bliss -
It is as sitting on a morning beach
Soft glow of sun, as it cracks the horizon
I feel the warmth of the coming day
A cool breeze licks my face like a puppy
You sit here with me, a new day dawning
The night of our pasts fade as a bad dream
My hand rests lightly in yours
We are as lovers, more as friends
A new journey begins, roads once closed
Now fly open as gale blown shutters
Before us we see all possibilities
Once where it seemed there was none
In the wind are scents of nutmeg and rum
We are intoxicated by each other
As hummingbirds dart around our heads
Drawn close we fuse bodies and hearts
I dive in to the depths of your love
Warm waters envelop me, sinking deeply
Rising again, I pierce the surface
The light of your radiance blinds me
We stroll down the shore as one
Tides erasing where we have been
Clearing a new way for us
To share the journey of life together
