| Marathon

So I just ran the St. George marathon this weekend. For those of you who have never been to one, it is extremely exciting and inspiring. At the starting line, I waited 45 minutes to use a port-a-potty...then I went inside, gagged and then threw up. All before 7 a.m. It's a strange environment. People do things that they normally wouldn't consider, like pee on the side of the road or go #2 in the bushes, not out of the view of the other runners. The variety of people makes the day oh so much fun. You have the old, the young, the skinny, the fat and the exhibitionists. I swear I kept passing this old guy wearing shorty shorts. I swear I saw his junk on more than one occasion. I hope I was hallucinating. I'm not a real runner, I just had the goal to finish. This was one of the most mentally challenging things that I've ever done. It makes me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to, so it was definately worth it. Now I can say I've done 2 marathons.
