| Why are we here..at this website?

I, for one, am looking for a companion, a love, a guy that would make me feel special. I don't go to bars, so this venue is the "getting to know you" venue. Once two people get matched and decide to communicate, they need to do just that....communicate.
I am on another dating website and the fella I'm "communicating" with, a teacher no less, uses his words very sparingly. How can I get to know someone when they don't talk??? Two or three sentences does not make for a conversation.
Come on guys....talk.
