| One step closer to personal independence. by red_cle at 10/6/2009 5:22:19 PM

Bought some 55 gallon drums today, planning to weld two of them together for a continuous feed bio-digestor. The other one's going into my new gasifier. Both are going to give me barbecue fuel and high grade fertilizer for my garden. At $250/ton, even coal is a great fuel, but I can do the same with corn cobs or wood pellets if there's a cheap supply of them. I'm not one of those zero point energy nuts, what I'm talking about has been working since the 1800's. I've done it on a small scale, but this is one scale closer to running my car on biomass. It's about chemistry, not pipe dreams, people have been doing this for the past 100 years. Don't believe me? Check out Victorygasworks on www.youtube.com. They have a great class series.
