| Today's the beginning ....trite but true.

Every morning when I drag myself out of the sheets, I wonder if this will be the day...
Will this be the day I get busy on my novel-in-progress again or work on finding a publisher or agent?
Will I discover the magical page online that leads me to fame and fortune as a fiction author? It's a long and winding road, and most would-be authors never really get their names or their books out there...will I be one of the few...rare...winners in the battle of the books? I've got one book out there...self-published...and I think it's a dang good book...now if only...if only...somebody who knows somebody who knows would hook me up with a good lit. agent!
Will this be the day I stick to my diet, or will I falter a bit? Diets are a bore...so I am trying hard to think of it as my new way of life...eating right to live longer...all that kind of stuff...BUT...IT AIN'T WORKIN' YET! I still crave my daily ice cream fix, although I have switched to the lower fat, lower sugar varieties. I really would like to lose a few pounds, but more than that, I don't want to follow my brother and parents down the road to HEARTache! I've been eating a LOT better since my recent trip to the cath lab, where I got a stent and a new lease on life when the stent in time saved me from heart damage...hallelujah! It sure gives a whole new meaning to "Listen to your heart..."!
