Give me my beer anyday,
A man will only break my heart.
My beer will soothe my senses,
Like no man can.
I drink alone.
You shouldn't they say,
Go out and play.
Where I ask?
And with whom?
Home is where the heart is,
And mine is safe here.
I can amuse myself.
My heart dreams of a fantasy,
Unfulfilled.
Forty-nine years of stumbling around,
Looking for my Prince Charming.
Have you seen him?
He'll be wearing a flannel shirt!
Alive and well,
Yes, I am.
Don't worry about me,
Like the gopher said,
I'm alright.
I just analyze life more than others.
The things that go through my head,
Sometimes make me dizzy!
I can dance,
I can sing,
Can you hear the tune playing,
In my head?
Nevermind,
It's just the restless imagination,
I create on my own.
I drink alone,
And I don't mind,
I'll bide my time,
And write the words,
That others are afraid to speak.
Fear is not a friend,
Never let it slow you down.
I am what I am,
And that's all that I am,
You might see me whisk by,
I'll be the bird with the angelic wings,
And a smile on her face,
Flying to meet friends somewhere,
Lighting briefly to chatter,
