| " I 'm not quite ready to date yet, but,,,,,,"

Every now and then, I do a little kind of not so crazy thing like joining an online dating service. Now let me explain this to you. When I say joining an online dating service is a not so crazy kind of thing ; I do not intend to infer that anyone I know would think that joining an online dating service in crazy, but rather that joining an online dating or introduction service is not as crazy as one might initially think that it is.
The reason that I sometimes do go out of my way to join an online dating introduction service is not actually to date as much as it is to online meet and possibly greet attractive (according my own particular individual style or taste), single, members of the opposite sex that I may or may not have the opportunity to meet in my regular day to day life.
Now when I say that I am not ready to actually date at the moment I am actually saying that I feel and think that getting to know someone in a safe, friendly environment at ones own pace is preferable. Many, many, people are opposed to going out on a date with a stranger that they may know absolutely nothing about; and many more cant even fathom the thought of the so called "blind date".I personally do not ever under any circumstances do either.
I am pretty much known for being a kind of "information person" who is also extremely selective; henceforth I do not even like to give a telephone number out without knowing a great deal of information about the person whom I am giving it to so I wouldnt think of dating someone that I either didnt know and or reasonably approve of their a great deal of information about ( or at least think that I do). When one uses an online dating and introduction service one can view the pictures, read the profiles, and have the possible option of further communication using the online dating service's email, IM, give or get a virtual wink and or send or receive a "virtual reality" gift.
This service provides a friendly, nice, effective, and technologically advanced way to meet new friends and communicate with others and that is one of the things that so far I like about it!
I am still not ready to date yet; but I might be ready to give an online dating and introduction service a try!
