Bigger cities vs smaller town and the dating scene
by miracleone at 10/21/2009 11:03:52 AM

Do folks living in the bigger cities have an advantage over those who live in small towns when it comes to meeting and dating people?
I would like to hear comments (advantages and disadvanges you may think) from both sides of the issue (those living in big cities and those living in small towns). Does it matter where you are living when it comes to meeting people or the opportunity to do so? How far would you travel to go on a date if the person could be your soulmate? If things were going great and you found someone special would you consider relocating? Just some thoughts..........

I've lived in larger cities but I am a small town person. Although you see more people they seem to be to preocupied to get to know. My social life revolved around people at work, neighborhood, and church just as it does now. There are more choices of things to do in a large city once you meet someone but I'm not sure that they are any more fun than small town avenues. I think that once a connection is made that your inner self will let you know how far you will travel to spend time with someone. If that gatekeeper in the back of your head gets stuck on the thoughts of a person [ you remember how the albums would get scratched and play a line over and over again untill you moved the needle] you will make a way to spend time together. If you were lucky enough to find that special person relocationis definately an option but relocating is a statement of commitment. I believe two people would have to be very familiar with each other for one to pick up and move- it gets back to living with someone is not as important as the thought of living without them. Just some of my thoughts. What's yours ?

Sometimes, Larger cities are lonelier than small towns. I just moved back to Carolina from Nashville and other than work related or church related or charity related, I was alone, busy but lonely. I love smalltowns and it's great to be home. thank you guys for reminding me how blessed I am to be back in a small town..I know we will find that special person. it is not a location it's our destiny.
