| Why do people make fun of my accent?

I get made fun of because of my accent and pronunciations. People goof on things I say, like-coffee, which sounds like-corffee, Boston-sounds like-Borston,New york-sounds like New yawk,chocolate- like chalklet,park-sounds like pahk,and car-sounds like-c-are, just to name some. It has been said that I sound like I'm from New york. Maybe it's a New England thing, or a Fall river thing. I don't know, but I always get picked on, but it's all in good fun, and even I laugh with others at times to how I say things. My father still has an accent after 30+ years of being away from Southern Florida, maybe I get it from him or I had lived in Arizona for sometime when I was a kid, and maybe I get it from there- who knows?
