I just noticed this so thought what the heck. I like to write so why not give it a try. lol
As a guy in my mid 40's and starting over I truly was silly enough to believe that dating would be easier. I know YES I KNOW NOW I was just that silly. You see I assumed, now that we are older and supposedly wiser that it would be simpler. Instead so far I have found it to be a pain in so many ways. I have met gals that weren't over their ex's even after being apart 2 yrs. That were treated like scum. Treated with no respect and definitely not like ladies. That were cheated on, and were told that they were sleeping around and still the gal was not over him!! I just assumed that as an older and hopefully wiser person they would move on and try to find a person that would treat them like a lady.
I have met ladies that want to meet and then realize that they don't want to start a realtionship because their kids were already grown up and didn't wish to deal with younger kids. In some ways I can understand that idea but in the same thought all I can do is shake my head because maybe that guy or gal that has the younger kid or kids may be a really wonderful person. That would treat them respect. Treat them the way a person should be treated AND make them happy.
I met a gal that talked about how bad society was and how she was beaten as a kid and then beaten in a almost 20 yeara marriage and shocked to find a guy with morals, values and on how to treat a lady. To then after talking the talk flat out stop responding to text messages and phone calls. To not explain themselves but to just not talk at all. Yes, grade school and even high school comes to mind, so I guess that means the talking the talk was just that. Not walking the walk. Not put up or shut up. So to speak.
Like I mentioned, I thought it would be easier in my mid 40's. Wow. As one of my favorite comedians says "here's your sign"
