Ballad of Serinity Paulina Logan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebA-RPfD07k
For my free spirit. ^_^
Friday started early because I was up till 4 AM playing my video game. "Vampire girl" again. lol. It's easy to get lost. I fell asleep 45 minutes later and slept well. Strange dreams... that would be the Chantix. I woke up about 11:30 and went on the puter. I did my mail and noticed that one of my friends from overseas was online. We started chatting and 2 more of the people I know came on. We all know each other from a forum. Considering the fact that we are spread from here to as far as New Zealand it was rare for all us to be on at the same moment. We chatted a couple hours and traded pics and music. I had a good time.
I decided I would take my daily walk in the late afternoon. The sun was out and it was a nice warm day. I went my 3 mile route. My halfway point is this bridge that crosses about a 35 foot stream. I always stop here. I looked over the rail and was surprised by how high and fast the water was moving. Then I looked down stream and there it was, maybe only 50 feet down stream.
A huge tree that had fallen right across the river. The thick end looked to be about 14" in diameter and went down to what looked like 4" but all the way across the stream. The longer I looked at it the worse it got. My heart started beating fast and I could feel adrenaline flowing into my veins. It was like the sirens of Greek mythology were calling me. There was no way I could resist. I just could not walk away. So down the bridge I crawled. I headed for the skinny end. I looked at my watch, took it off and slipped it in my pocket. The first 10 feet were not to bad. Then I ran into a branch that was too big to walk over. I sat down and snapped it off. At his point I looked down the tree and realized the rest of my path was covered with branches of all sizes and sticking out at all angles. This was not going to be easy. I made it about 2/3 of the way across and ran into a thick branch pointed straight up. No way to break it. No way to go over it. I sat on my butt and kind of laid my feet around it. I arched my back and kind of just slithered over it. About 1/2 way across I almost lost it. Just for split second I was sure I was done. It's funny how the brain works. I remember saying to myself "Girl you f**ked up" My mind had also instantly decided where I wanted to hit and what I wanted to grab for. All in the blink of an eye. But I didn't fall. I am not sure how I didn't, but I didn't. I made it all the way across. When I reached the end I realized that there was blood running down both my arms down to my hands. I have multiple cuts on both my arms and one on my right that is fairly deep. Doesn't matter. I pulled my watch out and realized it had taken me almost 35 minutes to make it across. As I sat on the end of the log I realized that at that moment I felt more alive than I have in months and months. I smell like a tree. lol
I might be f**king crazy but I am a happy girl tonight.
I saw Brook this evening. We sat and listening to the 1938 broadcast of "War of the Worlds". We used an old boom box FM for realism. lol. It truly was amazing and I guess I understand how people may have been fooled. The radio was all they had. But Brook has to work tomorrow so it was a early evening.
So I had a real good day. I am a bit cut up and probably bruised. I will worry about that tomorrow. ^_^
Food : 4 Hi-cal drinks, peanut butter and toast, 2 bananas, a Wendy single with cheese, 5 small Snickers bars. I guess not the best but ok.
