When you try to be nice...
by graceunderfire2 at 10/31/2009 8:03:58 PM

Why is it then you try to be nice people think you're some kind of push-over or punching bag or just have a low self-esteem. Like recently I went on a date with a guy who knew I was 5'4" and had a pic of me. I had a pic of him and didn't mind that he looked like a character off of the Andy Griffith show, but he didn't tell me that he was all of 4'11" and was a radical Christian. Hey, I'm not knocking anyone's beliefs but when your sitting there on a first date you don't expect your conversation to be about why he couldn't marry me because I wasn't "as Christian" as he. It made me feel a little sick. (Funny the midget thought he was doing me some kind of favor by even mulling over the idea) That was actually the furthest from my mind. Hell, all I wanted was a damn cup of coffee and conversation. Oh, I'm sorry to disappoint all the people reading this who thought that bigger people are suppose to be jolly.
But I was nice about the whole date even though the guy had a very flat personality and I had to do most of the talking. No, there was no chemistry but even Stevie Wonder could have seen that. That's not the point, a person should have some kind of decency to end the "date" gracefully.
