Josh Hammond
(August 24, 1975 - September 19, 2009)
Josh Hammond, age 34 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, September 19, 2009. He was born n Whitfield County August 24, 1975, son of Steffan Hammond n Marissa Feagin of Calhoun. Josh was employed with Stanton Carpets, n was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Betty Goble Bailey, Nelson Bailey, Joe Hammond, and Harvey Walker.Survivors include his mother, Marissa Feagin , two sons, Austin Hammond and Trenton Hammond; a daughter, Heaven Hammond, a sister, Dr. Angie Sheffield of Italy; grandparents, Maxine Walker n Ann Hammond, and a special aunt, Bettye Rome.
joshua was more than just ur average guy 2me. not only have i known josh since i was 15 years old, joshua was also a ex boyfriend. if there was ne thing to no bout josh , i new it. where he was @ all times, how he felt, i was baiscly his diary. everything bout his last days here on this earth i no. so may people keep talking bout how he killed himself n how it was selfish. how ever from knowing josh i no josh had problems, 1 which included depression. the day he died he was depressed over his current girlfriend using drugs he confided n me, its time for the world 2 no his real last thoughts.he had been looking 4 work n was ready 2 get his own place, i no coz i took him 2 look 4 work n 4 apartments the day b4. he had even asked would i b willing 2 move n with my son so i could help him n becca financially.
joshua 4 the first time n years found a reason n found hope that made him want 2 do better. but then n an instant the 1 he loved most didnt have as much hope r desire 2 change. joshua was finaly truelly done with the wild ways of the world. his words simply were, " I am 2 old for this, i am ready 2 settle down, i cant keep putting my grandmother thru the worries i've been putting her thru. I am 2 old for this n it's time i get out on my own."
joshua one of the greatest friends i've ever known!i will miss you! and i'll never forget you, in my heart you will always live on!
