| Why do we bash the one's we love?

I see this all to often. Even my mom does this with her boyfriend, why is that? I mean if we are with someone we love, why do we put them down and bash them? I have found myself doing this in the past as well, I'm guilty of this and admit it. Why I did these things is beyond me. I guess I was mad or he did something to get on my nerves, or he did or said something I didn't like or maybe he didn't do something he was supposed to. I don't know, all I do know is this "we hurt the one's we love". What are your opinions on this and why we do these things?
