The Brochure of Life
by lookinghot4life at 12/24/2007 9:05:02 AM

If life was as easy as the brochure said,
Then we all would live happily ever after.
But the brochure lied in many ways,
Life will give and take all the same.
And alas we are left to pick up the pieces.

I would weep,
But my tears have been stolen.
I would speak,
But alas my voice is gone.
Thus I write with blood soaked fingers.

The blood runs thick as there is little left,
And thus we bleed some more just to pacify the brochure.
Giving every drop of our soul,
Every inch of life til…
We become hollow shells of flesh,
Bond to this world as hollow messengers,
Begging for death,
But death will not come to the willing and life only to the rich.

So as I dig deeper into this messed up story,
Take note of the fact that I still write with blood soaked fingers.
And ask the all mighty brochure for forgiveness,
Bask in the glory of defeat,
And relish the fact that you will no longer bleed alone.
As my time here draws to a close know this my friend,
The brochure never lied,
But never promised life only death and suffering.

As I lay here drawing my last breath,
The world seemingly drawing inwards,
The snap of the abyss cracking my dried dead skin,
And the wind tearing my soul to ribbons,
Alas my hollow shell turns to dust.
The brochure will move on to claim another victim,
To steal another breath from the womb,
And finally to destroy everything about your legacy,
Leaving nothing but hate, and dust.

Thus I write this final time,
I’ve lost my power,
And I only have this,
The Brochure Of Life.
