| Reponding to Receiced Emails on Date Hook Up by stylist7 at 12/29/2007 9:11:47 PM

Wow, I must say that even though I have not been on Date Hook Up but a few days I am learning quickly that there are extremely high expectations about email response times. I received an email I read it and saved it, I had sent out a wink and the email was in response to that wink. After reading the email I received a call from my son who was at work. He had locked his keys up in his car while on his lunch break and needed me to bring the spare keys to unlock his door. I of course left imediately to help my son. I returned home with in a couple of hours, I checked my email and found a letter from the wink I sent out telling me not to email them back because I had allowed several hours go by and they still had not received a response. I kindly emailed them back and tried to explain that I had to leave for a little while and that I was sorry they felt the way they did. I acknowledged there request as to not responding and whiched them a god day. Before I could push the send button I received another email from this person telling me how I had not responded because I was not interested, I believe they felt that I thought they were not good looking enough or young enough and that if I had of been truly interested I would have responded instantly when they sent me an email response. I in return sent a friendly reminder to the person in question that it was I who had sent out the first wink and had I not been interested in atleast emailing them I would not have sent a wink in the first place. I also told them that before they go being so judgemental and falling into the rejection mold that they should allow a person the benefit of the doubt. Give them enough time to respond. I try to respond to everyone who emails me. I believe in respecting people and if I am not interested I will at least acknowledge that person with a thank you. I am not perfect and probally in all actual reality am not able to respond to each and every person; but I am going to try my best to be polite. So tell me what do you think about this situation? what is a valid time to respond to an email? Is there a time limit? What ever happen to the excitement of the unknown? LilRed
