| Dating Scams

Did anyone out here ever get scammed on some, or any dating sites? I just about did, but never out here. The only advice I can give is be on guard, and be honest, and do not let it happen. I would not scam anyone, so it stands to reason that I would not want it done to me, so I make it a point to know what I am looking for, and to know what is happenning..
All I can say is to be prepaired for anyone who tells you that they need money to come home from another country, and that they will send you a check for you to cash for them, and all you need to do is to send the money to them, chances are, the check will not be real.
Just some ideas as to how people can try to harm what can be a real beautiful part of your life, and just not care about anyone but him/herself..
That only goes to show you how harmful some people can be to people who can be good to them if not for the fact that the people who are scamming are very lonely, to the point where they have the desire to creat harsh, and un-wanted pain. That kind of darkness is worse then what any kind of darkness that a blind person can go through, and take it from me, because I am without sight, but my heart, and feelings do work along with my mind, and integraty.
In short, please be careful, and not so care free.
